About CloudVeil

CloudVeil is a nonprofit organization which began offering Internet filtering technology to members of the Church of God in Christ Mennonite in 2014 under the direction of the Technology Committee. A team of brethren spread across North America provides technical support to our users and conducts research and development on new products and solutions.

Mission
We are committed to providing secure, effective Internet solutions to members of this church.

Vision
We believe that safe and usable Internet filters should be available to all members of the church. We are continuously working to improve our existing products and solutions to make them as safe and user friendly as possible.

Values
Our primary focus is to accommodate functional and practical needs of business and other purposeful uses of the Internet. User feedback is important to improving our existing filtering solutions and developing new solutions.

Filtering Policy

Our primary focus is to accommodate the functional and practical needs of business and other purposeful uses of the Internet. We are partnered with industry leaders in web categorization. See tools.zvelo.com to check specific websites.

Here is a list of some of the site categories that this filter will block by default.

  • Adult Related Categories (includes most image searches)
  • Liability Concern Categories (includes scam and copyright concerns)
  • Entertainment
  • Games
  • Humor/Jokes
  • Audio/Video Clips
  • Radio/Audio Streams (excluding congregational streaming)
  • TV/Video Streams
  • Personal Sites
  • Personals/Dating
  • Social Networking (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc.)

Sometimes sites get categorized incorrectly. Feel free to send us the miscategorized site or you can submit it for review here.

We aren’t currently able to create an individual policy for the mobile browsers but we hope to add that feature in the near future. However, if you have a specific need, please contact us.
